On Repeat

music, Personal

I decided to compile a list of my top ten songs that I just can not get enough of lately. I also linked my Summer 2020 playslist for you to check out.

  1. Selfluv by RICEWINE and GUS

This song is perfect for those drives to the beach with the windows down and the sun shining on your face. The light beat and mellow chords make for an incredible summer song.

2. Overthinking IT by WILLOW

Willow is one of my favorite artists. She is absolutely incredible. Short anecdote, actually: I saw both her and Jaden live in New York City when I went to the March For Our Lives in September 2019. (I’ll write a post about my experience if you want me to.) Regardless, this song just speaks to me on another level.

3. Woo! by Remi Wolf

Remi Wolf – Woo! Lyrics | Genius Lyrics

This one is just fun. It reminds me of the 7/11 slurpee aesthetic that I crave so much for some reason, don’t ask me why.

4. Unwind by Presidio

Presidio - Unwind

This song calms me when I get overwhelmed. It reminds me of one of my favorite bands, Local Natives.

5. Freakin’ Out On the Interstate by Briston Maroney

Under My Skin by Briston Maroney on Amazon Music - Amazon.com

This song actually came from my Summer 2018 playlist, but I added it to my 2020 playlist after I heard it start to go viral on Tiktok. This song is perfect for those late night drives when you just need to zone out and see where the road takes you.

6. Sex Money Feelings Die by Lykke Li

sex money feelings die [Explicit] by Lykke Li on Amazon Music ...

Lykke Li never fails to make me feel some type of way. From this song to ‘I follow Rivers,’ my emotions are everywhere. With this song specifically, I love the way she’s able to make you feel like a bad bitch even though the song has such a sad undertone.

7. Flaming Hot Cheetos by Clairo

Clairo – Flamin' Hot Cheetos Lyrics | Genius Lyrics

Clairo is an Icon. But what I love about this song is the simplicity. There is two chords throughout the whole song, and the beat is incredibly simple. It really makes you focus on her lyrics and vocals. I love the lyric “I’m feeling something right,” it kind of hits home in a way I can’t explain.

8. Confidant by BabyJake

BabyJake – Confidant Lyrics | Genius Lyrics

There’s really nothing to say about this song other than the fact that between both me and my boyfriend, it has been on constant replay in our car.

9. Wildflower by 5 Seconds of Summer

5 Seconds Of Summer Premiere New Song "Wildflower" | LATF USA

I am a huge 5sos fan. If you want to talk about it you can leave me a message, or hit me up on one of my socials. When this song first came out, I really did not like it that much. But since then it’s turned into a major bop.

10. Remember Me by UMI

UMI – Remember Me Lyrics | Genius Lyrics

I’ve been vibing heavily with UMI lately. Three of her songs are actually on this playlist. I’m not sure what else to say about other than how much of a vibe the song is. It’s sad in the sense of losing someone, but at the same time it shows so much growth in her person. The song is so bittersweet with the idea of wanting to be remembered but knowing that you’ve changed from who you were.

Be sure to leave a comment with some songs that I should add to my playlist! And don’t forget to follow my socials so you can keep up with me all the time!

The Story So Far

Journals, Personal

At twenty years old, I stand at five feet and two inches tall. It is interesting to me how humans are so big compared to insects, but in the grand scheme of the universe, we are microscopic.

Welcome to my blog.

My name is Meghan, and I’m here to document my life through this blog. I feel like I’ve experienced so much in my short life that I want to share it with you.

Throughout my whole life, I have dealt with numerous mental health issues as well as physical health issues, so I’m here to write about how I overcame so many obstacles and how you can too. By that I mean I’d like to focus on things that make me happy like fashion, music, and wellness.

I hope that you join me on this journey, and at least get something out of what I write.

Feel free to follow and keep up with me on my socials, as I have linked them below.
